Considering how few of those rifles are manufactured per year, and the cost of one (>$7000.00), I seriously doubt the typical al-Qaeda scum, MS13 POS or other piece of semi-human detritus would be out shopping for one of those firesticks. The ability to track one based upon who sells them would make uncovering the whereabouts of a terror cell a whole lot less difficult. Secondly, these rifles weigh in at about THIRTY POUNDS which makes them a prone position ONLY rifle, not exactly the best position for attempting to bring down an aircraft. As for range....I was unaware that 1000 yards constitutes a mile.

As is usual, the gun grabbers are relying upon the fears of the iggerunt pubblick to allow them to destroy our rights to keep and bear arms, and to self defense. Read Federalist no. 46, and you will see exactly why we have the INDIVIDUAL right to keep and bear arms.

To use a Barrett a from mile away, you will have about $10,000 invested considering glass and practicing ammo as add ons to the basic price.

.50's are accurate far more than 1000yds.

.223's, .30-06, and .308's are all deadly at 1000yds if they are accuratized, and many (.30-06 garands etc.) are deadly at 1000yds stock by a professional......
