African American History Must Be Taught (Rep. Brady's Office)

All of African American History can be taught to the same depth as other American History in one week out of American History class. There is certainly no reson to spend longer on it or cover it in more depth than any other part of American History.

Uhh, I hope they cover the spread of Islam into North Africa and the sub-Saharan region and its connection with the slave trade business - which goes on today in the Sudan.

I am sure that the Phila Black American Course teaches that in 1964, the Democrats in the House and Senate did not provide the majority vote for the Civil Rights act, but that Pres. Johnson depended on the Republicans for that.

That really pissed the hell out of Algores black nanny... since her employer(Gore Sr.) voted agaist it. The nanny would sit in the car whenever the family ate out at a restaurant.

Here's another. My and my husbands white ancestors died in the Civil War. They were volunteers. How about some reparations for the families of the dead soldiers who fought, knowing that their victory would result in freeing the slaves?
