get a grip, Ernesto - DNA testing can establish genetic heritage easily, no political committee approval required Strongly disagree. Getting your DNA doesn't prove one way or another what "race" you are because there are not agreed on race markers or characteristics.

true, to some extent - most "races" are political constructs these days; there are a few genetically identifiable classifications though, useful but not definitive. 'Native American' is one of them
with respect [very little respect] to ward churchill, a DNA test would probably show that he is a liar - no indian at all - so i doubt he'll ever take one
