I concur. Any attempt to do this would result in another Civil War. The U.S. people may no longer have the stomach to protect their borders, but redrawing them? Won't happen.

The building is in danger of being torn down as a shrine.

All it requires is for one Hispanic to enter a protest that the Alamo exemplifies a past injustice perpetrated on the country of Mexico and to claim that he is offended by the monument in San Antonio and the ACLU will do the rest.
