If I was innocent, I'd want a judge to try my case. If I was guilty, I'd want this jury.

I wish you well if you ever get charged with a crime. I hate to burst your bubble, but most judges are prosecution oriented. You are most likely to get a fairer hearing before a jury.

The Founding Fathers put the right to a jury in the Constitution so as to avoid having prosecutions brought by the King tried by those who were beholding to the King (judges).

You never lightly decide whether to proceed with a judge instead of a jury. I do it at times for my clients, but only when I have decided the government's case is so weak, that even a possibly biased fact finder will find it to be weak.
