San Francisco -- San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris indicated Sunday that new revelations from the mother of a 12-year-old boy fatally mauled in his home will be part of an ongoing investigation into his death.
Maureen Faibish for the first time revealed Saturday that she was so worried about the strange behavior of one of her pit bulls that she shut her son, Nicholas, in the basement while she left him home alone to do errands June 3.
Her comments contradicted earlier statements that she never saw the dogs exhibit any troubling behavior.
Harris told Kron 4 News that police are continuing to look into the circumstances of Nicholas' death.
Once the investigation is complete, she said, "We'll see if there's any conduct that rises to the level that would be a crime that could be prosecuted in a court of law."

The question remains - Why didn't this wonderful mother lock the dog in the basement rather than her son? Unless she is a positive wacko, she never did put her son in the basement, and she is lying through her teeth.

Why would she say this if it isn't true? Is she trying to blame her own for his death, because he didn't stay in the basement?
I can't understand why the woman didn't bring the kid with her on the "errands".

Here's another good discussion from last night.
The dog's rights were violated according to a San Francisco ordinance which says children must not be fed to pet's. They don't want the dogs getting sick.
This is another clear case of canine abuse. They must have mistreated this dog for it to be so vicious. Note sarcasm.
I have already mentioned, you can't change centuries of breeding aggression into a dog by cuddling him/her. These animals have been bred to kill and are cocked springs ready to go off.
From the other article, it seems this foolish women had two unneutered pits and one was a male and the other a female in heat. (That's wrong right there). The male was acting aggressive towards the boy over the female. So she put her kid in the basement before she left the house.
People like this give humans a bad name.
The story behind the story is usually far more wierd and bizarre than the main story ....
