Pukin Dog is a retired Navy fighter pilot and now a civilian air captain. He might be wrong, but he does know what he's talking about.
I strongly disagree, if he is wrong on this, then he doesn't know what he is talking about. I don't care who he claims to be.
I'll bet there are Delta pilots every day that take the B777 to max cruise. I know that there are Boeing 757 and 737 pilots at Delta that go to max cruise every day... Because I hear them check in at those altitudes - and so has he... so he is full of bunk.

dudes -- settle down, please.
http://www.aerospaceweb.org/aircraft/jetliner/b777/ <-- will tell you that the service ceiling of a triple 7 is just over 43,000 feet. But there is a union reason AND a flight safety/procedure reason why commercial passenger aircraft rarely go to FL 410. Exec jets bust FL410 all the time, but not so much the Boeings.
The trash haulers here on FR can tell you why (it has to do with deep, long-lasting marks on the First Officers' faces ;-) )

If you know of any Delta pilots taking their 777 to max altitude, please let me know, I would love to have a 'chat' with them. Could it be that you don't know that the B777 max altitude actually is? Either way, I wont pee in your pool, so unless you know me, stay out of mine. Fair enough?
