"I'm going back to my cottage to rape my wife," Klein quotes Bill Clinton as saying during a Bermuda getaway in 1979.

Come on guys, I dislike Clinton as much as anybody around here, but if this is supposed to be "evidence" of anything more than a drunken boast by an admittedly boorish fellow, it falls pretty far short of credible. Anybody who takes this too seriously runs the risk of looking like a Republican version of Howard Dean.

well stated. I was thinking the same thing. I have little use for people who take a statement meant in jest and then later try to make it out to be a serious statement.

I agree. Klein is lapping at the lowest caliber
of political crudity to print such a thing.

Besides, wouldn't the Clintons KNOW who this
"unnamed source" is? After all, they were
spending time with him in Bermuda when the
"remark" was supposedly made. How many of us
would forget who we were cabareting with in
a foreign land?

I have to agree Kenton. I don't doubt the veracity of any charge leveled at the klintoons, and there are not many that despise those disgusting POS' more than myself, but un-named sources are not the way to go.

If this person wants to report that someone said something, then have that someone grow a pair and attach their name to it.
