Although she's famous for playing the victim card, I don't think it will work in this case due to her treatment of Bill's other rape victims. Of course she may try it anyway.

I don't know if Hillary's behind this book. But it seems to me as if this book benefits her. I'm sure it will contain a laundry list of genuine wrongdoing, with this ridiculuous rape charge served on top. Then, in 2008, when somebody asks her about her genuine wrongdoing (commodities trading, etc), she'll declare that the charges made by the "right-wing conspiracy" have been "discredited."
I just hope that Rush et al. don't fall for unsubstantiated allegations such as these.

This assumes the media will point out this contradiction, which is very unlikely. I agree with a previous poster who said this will ultimately work in Hillary's favor. Conservatives should not touch this with the proverbial ten foot pole. If Hannity, for example, tries to make something of this, by pointing out the same contradiction that you refer to, it will seem mean and unfair, a "blame the victim" kind of thing, and generate sympathy for Hillary.
