We'll soon find out if the Republican Party is totally in the bag for the open borders elites.
Judging by the numbers of Quislings tolerated on this *conservative* forum, I have grave doubts about the national party leadership.

The majority of the American people do not support the immigration policies of the Bush administration. The American people overwhelmingly want our borders secured and enforced. Our southern border has been and is an absolute joke under the Bush administration. Yet more evidence of that fact was the videos of illegal aliens at the Arizona border shown on Hannity & Colmes during the time of the Minutemen patrols.
Those who support rewarding illegal aliens with legal status don't want Cong. Tancredo's message to be heard. Unfortunately for them, it is going to be heard. Cong. Tancredo's opposition to the McCain-Kennedy amnesty plan for illegal aliens will provide the American public an opportunity to see the differences between him and other potential 2008 Republican presidential primary entrants such as Sen. McCain, Sen. Brownback and Sen. Hagel. All of them support amnesty for illegal aliens.

More and more Republicans involved in national politics are willing to separate themselves from the policies of President Bush that reward illegal aliens. Any amnesty plan that President Bush sends to Congress will not pass the United States House of Representatives. Whether it is called amnesty, doesn't matter. Any plan that gives legal status to illegal aliens is dead on arrival in the United States House of Representatives. The House version of the McCain-Kennedy amnesty plan for illegal aliens will go nowhere fast.
