Company accused of stealing from reconstruction projects. Former executives of Custer Battles an American firm accused of stealing millions from Iraq reconstruction projects and banned from further government contracts have continued doing contracting work and have formed new companies to bid on such projects, The Associated Press has learned.
This may or may not be illegal, military officials say; Custer Battles officials deny any wrongdoing.

Here we go again with the bedtime story that starts with war profiteering and ends up, by design, at the doorstep of President Bush, Dick Cheney, Halliburton and all Republican devils.
This one is so old it has hair, teeth and rheumatism.
Say goodnight Drt1.
I'd suggest you take off your uber partisan glasses, take your own advice to me and recognize a problem - Irrespective of whoever is in office.
This is of course biased, and the MSM delights in it's genesis, but I doubt it is untrue - Or are you of the 'See no evil..' legion?
Maybe its a hyped MSM witch hunt, but if it turns
out to be true, these sacks of &$%@ should be publicly
executed with dull swords, and their heads mounted
on pikes at the river entrance to the Pentagon.
Propaganda 101. Enemy uses isolated true story about malfeasance in one instance to totally discredit the opponents' leadership, thereby shaking the confidence of opponents' troops, citizenry and allies. The enemy infiltrates opponents mainstream media with multiple and several threads like this to weaken support for the regime at war. Next, the political opposition joins fray with choruses of similar attacks claiming freedom of speech.
All's fair? Hardly. In time of war, this aids and abets the enemy. For devious citizens of the country in question, it is termed "treason".For the enemy it's called "winning".
Loyal citizens are not unquestioning robots. They simply do not have 'overthrow of the country' as an agenda...as the enemy and disloyal citizens do.
So. Loyalty, Unity, Patriotism, Love of Country...these are real qualities true citizens of the USA believe in. Fact is, brave Americans are dying in distant places right now defending these values. So,when some pencil-necked geek starts attacking all of this,we become downright "hard-to-like".
Did you get any of this?
You would shoot the messenger, or at least discredit his intelligence and imply he is a traitor (As you do in this case - a fact I resent VERY much), if the message was not in line with your preferences wouldn't you. I know enough about your tactics and approach so no need to continue the discussion between us.
Your resentment is interesting to observe.
Sort of like watching you take poison and then you sitting by waiting for everyone else to die.
Amusing.
My reply was hard to read and harder to write...It is clear that you're no Victor Davis Hanson.
Hard as it may be to believe, my reply was about methods, not you as an individual.
Have a nice life.
