Nice swarm, though pretty typical for earthquakes...aftershocks can go on for years. So long as it wasn't one of the rarer foreshocks...

You aren't acquainted with a swamp cooler? WHERE are you from???

Born in Michigan...grew up in Illinois, then pretty much Chicago, transferred to San Francisco...now Seattle.

Humid or mild summers, a swamp cooler doesn't do much good.

...personally...I'm looking for a pool boy to fan me with a palm frond and keep my iced tea topped!!!

"pretentious"

How on earth did you get that impression from what I said ..??

And .. the Bible does say, "a day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as a day".

Psa 90:4 - For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

2 Peter 3:8 - But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

So .. that's why I can't buy your theory of the earth having another 10 mil years. But .. it's your choice - you can believe what you want. But .. remember this .. GOD Almighty - THE CREATOR of all things - is way smarter than "man's limited understanding".

You know Ernest, I was just looking at that on the earthquake site and thinking, hmmmmmmmmm, that 3.1 was a precurser to this one........we have a 20% chance of having a 5.0 or larger in the next 24 hours. There are sure a lot of swarming quakes right now!

Hi, sorry to butt in but couldn't resist, as I recall north Wales had a 3.1 earthquake back in February. My best friend's wife's mum lives outside Colwyn Bay and I called her to see if she'd felt it. She said she hadn't but her neighbors had.

Before that I had no idea you got any at all!

The plots for a lot of these are hoppin' all over the place. Perhaps I'll spend a good part of this afternoon making sure I have things nailed down around here. You know, get prepared, like we're all supposed to be already?

We have a few little tremors but nothing like yours occasionally every few years there maybe one more severe if I remember correctly when I was at school we were always quoted one in the 1950s I think in East Anglia that registered something like 4 or 5 I believe. Someone else who studies these things may know more.
