I believe the "Fertice Crescent" in present-day Iraq would still be the "Cradle of Civilization;" however, this dramatically changes historical views of technological development and European migration.

Correct me if I'm mistaken but, wasn't the first alphabet created in Mesopotamia, modern day Iraq?
