At the Memorial Weekend Air Show here in Columbia, the lefties had black coffins out. Disgusting.
The "Veterans for Peace" plant white crosses on Santa Monica Beach just north of the pier. It's a mock military cemetery. In front of the crosses, a "flag-draped coffin." In front of that, a huge sign announcing the latest "body count" of our servicemen and women of OIF and OEF.
It is deceitful because it is NOT a memorial. It is NOT honor. It is a self-serving political anti-war, anti-American statement. It is not a real cemetery nor a real coffin, but a mockery of what is real.
What really, really fries me is that they have the gall to call it "Arlington West." I cannot tell you how despicable that is to dishonor the sacred name of our national cemetery, where great heroes rest in peace.
But, to the brain-damaged leftist "peace protestors," reality does not matter, especially the reality of the sacrifice made by you and millions of heroes throughout our history.
And, yes, I have been down there to "tell" them exactly what I think of what they're doing.
