I'm not really offended so much by this. It can pretty much be expected from a backward people beholden to a backward religion. What pisses me off is when people claiming to be Americans do all manner of desecration to their own flag, and are allowed to get away with it.
What do you suggest for punishment for those Americans?
This will go against the grain but, here's a list of countries that have in the past, banned desecration of the national flag
Soviet Russia, Red Cuba, Red China, Nazi Germany, Saddam's Iraq, Mussolini's Italy, etc etc.
Company that quite frankly, I have no interest in emulating these countries in anything.
Freedom means people are free to do things we might no particularly like.
Is someone free to desecrate the flag, yes, but just as you are free to descretate the flag, I am free to punch you in the face when I catch you doing it.
