"... like a cowboy ..." ???

Asked Thursday why it took investigators more than two weeks after Holloway's May 30 disappearance to search the home, Attorney General Caren Janssen said: "You have to build up an investigation. You can't just go in there like a cowboy, you have to give certain direction to investigators."

Janssen, who went into the house with investigators Wednesday, declined to discuss the case, but said the father was not under investigation. Paul van der Sloot is a judge-in-training, serving a three-year term that allows him to hear a limited number of cases.

I'd sure prefer investigators who act like cowboys than Mayberry deputies.

That's bull crap. When those 3 guys admitted to ahving been with Natalee the ngiht before she disappeared, the police should have gone through all of their houses. When they said 'something bad happened to her' they should have been the primes suspects and brought in for detailed questioning, not the security guards!

Ironic, I was reading that line just as FOX guy was repeating it.

From what I have heard, you CAN go in there like a cowboy. If correct, it was explained that in Aruba the rights of society trumps the rights of the individual.

Further, no warrants are needed. Nor is probable cause.

I am paraphrasing, but this is how someone explained it on one of the FOX p.m. shows. Can someone confirm or deny?
