Democratic petition asks Steele to retract support for book on GOP, race Lierman calls publication 'divisive commentary'

By David Nitkin Sun Staff

June 10, 2005

The Maryland Democratic Party has launched a petition drive asking Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele to repudiate his support of a book on the racial history of the Republican Party. Democratic Chairman Terry Lierman said Michael Zak, author of Back to Basics for the Republican Party, used inflammatory language during a Lincoln Day dinner in Southern Maryland last month.

"Mastery over blacks has always been Democratic policy," the Calvert Recorder quoted Zak as saying during the dinner speech. In the book, Zak calls the Ku Klux Klan the "terrorist wing" of the Democratic Party.

The book celebrates the Republican Party's anti-slavery founders and urges Republicans to challenge Democratic entitlement to the black vote.
In his letter, Mr. Lierman's cites excerpts from the book and from speeches by Mr. Zak.
For example, "Mastery over blacks has always been Democratic Policy. Before it was cotton. Now it is misery." And "Democrats are socialists and we should call them socialists. It's to the Democrats' advantage children grow up poor and uneducated."

You can always tell when an arrow aimed at the libs strikes home and reveals them for what they are.

Why in the world would anyone apologize for speaking the truth?

Freedom of speech only applies when one speaks kindly of democrats or poorly of republicans.

The other night, on Hannity and Colmes, Colmes defended Dean's comments by citing comments made by Rush Limbaugh. Colmes is always willing to go out on any sort of limb to defend his party's corruption.

"Democrats have nothing to offer other than angriness and name-calling," she said

Reading the article, the rats didn't offer a single factual disagreement. Typical.

The GOP => The Party of Lincoln
demoRats => The Party of Jim Crow

If black people would learn US History I suspect more would vote Republican.

OOOOOHHHHH, the ugly truth feenzy from the Dums starts. BTW, how do the Dummy Dums explain the fact that it was the REPUBLICAN GOV of Texas during RECONSTRUCTION, that supported the founding of the FREEDMAN org in TEXAS. it is known that Republicans were lynched in Texas, along with Blacks. The numbers are more accurate for Repubs, since the DUMS would lynch blacks and bury them. The belief is that many more blacks were lynched by the Dums than is documented.

Oh yeah, like a talk show personality compares with a former governor, Presidential candidate and DNC chairman. Colmes crashed and burned from his absurdity awhile ago, but he just doesn't know it yet. And Juan Williams is in the wreckage with him. LOL

If his language is "Inflammatory", they can take some advice from their Imperious Leader's weaker half.

They might want to "Put some ice on that."

"You can always tell when an arrow aimed at the libs strikes home and reveals them for what they are."

Grandpa said it like this: "When you throw a rock, only the dogs that yelp are the ones you hit."

Any time that a Dim gets singled out for something, Colmes has to run and dig up something a Republican said, or did, years ago, in order to justify his own party's actions.

A little history here:

The Democratic Party is generally regarded to have originated with Andrew Jackson, a slaveholder and genocidal indian fighter.

In its early years, the Democratic Party was led by southern slaveholders and the northern merchants who relied on them.

The Confederacy was led by Democratic politicos, who couldn't stomach Lincoln's election.

After the Civil War, scores of black Republican officeholders were elected.

Reconstruction was reversed, and Jim Crow created, by the Democratic State parties in the southern States.

Northern Democrats had little use for black voters. The progressive Woodrow Wilson was a racist.

Southern Democrats successfully defeated every piece of Federal civil rights legislation, including anti-lynching laws, up until 1964.

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 would not have passed without the votes of Congressional Republicans. A higher percentage of Republicans voted for it than Democrats.
