MassMutual Financial Group disclosed that the reason for the sudden ouster of its top executive involved his conduct, but the insurer did not offer further details about Robert J. O'Connell's abrupt firing.
The mutually owned insurer did, however, confirm that O'Connell was not the only member of MassMutual's management to lose his job late last week.
In response to inquiries from The Republican, a MassMutual spokesman confirmed Friday that two others were no longer with the company, the Springfield newspaper said. They are Susan A. Alfano, who left Thursday as executive vice president for enterprise systems and services, and Ann F. Lomeli, who departed Friday as senior vice president, co-general counsel and secretary.
The Boston Globe, which also reported Alfano's departure, quoted MassMutual spokesman Jim Lacey as saying that Alfano had reported directly to O'Connell, who was MassMutual's chairman and chief executive. Lacey declined further comment.

BTW: I searched, but did not find any other posts about this.
it doesn't matter - he'll get severance 100x what all of us make in our entire lifetime
Meange a Trois, perhaps? Non?
(written in my seedy, back alley tough guy voice)
I got this buddy...see... and he works for a rather large company owned by MassMut, and he has it from the inside. I'm told that a certain female that runs an HR department of another company owned by MassMut has also recently resigned in what might be called a series of connected events. The WSJ may have even named this gal.
Of course I work for a company owned by Boeing so I've seen some fairly recent....ah.... activities (?) like this too.
It amazes me what we guys will do for a few minutes of tingly. ((*** boggle ***))
I'd love a severance package like that. The former CEO at Boeing got a whoooooper too.
Meange a Trois, perhaps? Non?
My dog had mange once....
Oh! You meant something else.
