I think the biggest problem is the unions in our government and the huge pensions they get draining our wallets and increasing the size and cost of government.
We actually pay more money to people not to work then pay people to work.
Heck, in this flavor-of-the-week/short-attention-span culture, 51% is a miracle.
I turned Laura off.
She should know better than to take an AP/IPSOS poll that has never been accurate regarding Bush.
I'm not particularly in love with Gallop given their performance during the election, but I'll tolerate their numbers being quoted.
AP/IPSOS, CBS and WAPO are to be throughly discredited.
RASS was one of the few to get it right. 51% is about the percentage he won the election by. This rating is believeable.
No, RAT-mutt-son!
ZOGBY was the most accurate during the election, if I remember correctly, but he doesn't have any numbers. Pres.
Bush doesn't worry about polls anyway.
thanks for posting a Rasmussen poll. I don't pay much attention to any of them, but it's always good when the oft-repeated,highly touted, predictably Bush-negative Washington Post, CNN, USAToday polls, get some competition.
"No, RAT-mutt-son!"
Why do you say that. Rasmussen was perfectly accurate in the 2004 elections. I don't understand why you feel as you do?
I listened to Savage for about 5 minutes last night. It was all I could stand. He started ranting about pornography, and Laura Bush telling dirty jokes, then Mary Carey coming to the White House, then how women only like good looking men because of pornography, then about how blue jeans are terrible, then how all other radio hosts are idiots. Sometimes he can be interesting, but most times he is just right wing Air America.
Do you have a publicly accessible source? I dont think yer lying, i am curious to see all the 3s. seriously, not looking for a gotcha, just curious.
Wrong.
Zogby's credibility was blown in this election. he was publically ridiculed after how he blew the results of the election.
Bush has done nothing the last 6 months to defend himself from the daily attacks of the left. Not a damn thing.
He was only accurate when the race neared the election date and he didn't want to end up with egg on his face; I distinctly remember that, he (like most of the other pollsters) had Kerry ahead by whopping percentage points during the summer of 2004!
From the talk you'd think approval was running about 20%.
The left is spent. How many times and different ways can you say Bush is a liar, thug, dumb, elitist, warmonger, yadda yadda yadda and actually break through people's defenses. I think almost all have made up their mind about Bush and slight fluctuations in the job approval one way or the other does not amount to anything. So let them spew their bile - there's really no need for us to respond. Keep getting judges confirmed, legislation passed and then we move on to 2006.

No, Rasmussen's poll did not show all the variations of the other polls. His polls did not show the big jumps after debates or after conventions. His final polls were not that different from what he had been saying since at least August. And at the end his was the only poll that was correct on all the contested states and the closest to the actual national popular vote. If you have any good reason to call him a Rat them please post the reason.
Well, perhaps I stand corrected; (I went to Google but couldn't find any data to back my reasoning) yet, I do remember, Rasussen's name being tossed in with the likes of Democraps' gleeful polling last summer.
I agree, many who apparently did not know better were putting into the same group as others. I was/am a premium member at Rasmussen and his polls never have the variations that other polls do. He polls every night and uses 3 and 7 day averages. He also does not change assumptions such as make up of R/D M/F etc. that many other polsters seem to do.
