Living here in Toronto (Canada) -- from the States -- I often hear people talking out loud about "their recent visit to Cuba" and the like....the other day there was this wet-behind-the-ear 20-something type of lad who came to our door and asked if he could give a demonstration of a home security thing....he (proudly) said that if he sold enough units he could afford to go on a trip to Cuba....I (proudly) told him I was from the States -- and that for over the last 40 years the US has boycotted trade with Cuba because it is a COMMUNIST country and that, no, I wasn't really interested in his home security ideas....

It boggles my mind that these people blindly follow the Canadian government's policy of "free trade" with Cuba and don't give it a second thought....
