"I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for," said former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, now chairman of the Democratic National Committee.
Dean also blamed Republicans for the unhappy occasion when California voters recalled their Democratic governor: "The right wing of the Republican Party is deliberately undermining the Democratic underpinnings of this country," said Dean on Sept. 6, 2003. "I believe they do not care what Americans think and they do not accept the legitimacy of our elections and have now, for the fourth time in the fourth state, attempted to do what they can to remove democracy from America."

Is Bill CLinton a felon and a scumbag?
Is Hil-LIAR-y Clinton a scumbagette faking people out that she has centrist or conservative views?
Is George Bush the Welcome Wagon for illegal aliens?
Is it insane to ponder the Cleveland Indians EVER winning a World Series?
What you say is true, not only for northeastern liberals, but liberals across the country.
In south Minneapolis the moonbats are just as rabid as Dean. They'd rather spit on conservatives than allow us to speak our piece. There's nothing subtle about it in that place.
I believe their venom is polarizing our society. I left their midst a year ago and never looked back.
That large chunk of certifiably insane society can just stew in the inner-city shinola they've created for themselves.
The red counties are growing at a phenomenal pace.
The core cities are shrinking.
Poor, poor libs./sarc
No! Howard Dean is not insane. He is a very passionate and principled man. His principles are mostly wrong and dangerous, but I have grudging respect for what he did.
Most losing Presidential candidates go back to work, or take a lucrative "lobbying" job - meaning they are rainmakers for a firm, and get money to hang out. Their principles are decided by who hires them. Or they go to work in a lawfirm doing little but bringing prestige to the firm.
Dean could have done any of these things. But instead he chose to go for the DNC job - one that usually goes to a hack or professional fundraiser. He turned it into a referendum on the state of the liberal grassroots. He took a job that men of his stature don't take. He did it because he loves the grassroots and he loves his secular liberalism. He won. You have to respect that.
I wish a hard core conservative would do the same at the RNC. Unfortunately, it would probably turn out the same even if he/she was a better communicator than Dean. The big donors would close their wallets, preferring someone more "malleable."
"He is not nuts. He is what the democrats really are when all the cover is removed."
I followed the election on DU all the way through. They LOVE Dean there, and many were terribly disappointed in Kerry.
They think Dean is just telling the truth. It's scary and makes you doubly determined that the kook left must never seize power.
Howard just has an extreme form of humanitis. He's Cain personified. Narcicism, paranoia and lust for power in heavy measure ... exacerbated by a well developed small man's complex and inflamed by a generally violent personality coupled with a near total lack of impulse control. A nudge here and there and the pissant will kill somebody.
Liberalism is a desease. Isn't it??
You're right. I stnd corrected. As a digital artist, I would like to have more to work with.
Howard Dean is the Id of the Democratic Party.
No wonder his wife didn't want to be seen with him...
(a beauty she ain't but I can tell she really DID want to stay with her patients)...
I think it is how he really thinks, I also think it is a ploy something like "good cop, bad cop", the dems let him rant and rave and say outrageous things and then they come out and tell everyone that he doesn't speak for their party. This is BS, he is their elected leader, therfore he speaks for their party. This is a gimmick to soften up some voters to the other dems. "see, they are good guys they are trashing Dean for saying those horrible things about the Republicans!". It doesn't cut any ice with me, but I think some idiots buy into it.
Hey, they invented sandpaper in Vermont !!! Bag Balm is another VT original. The farmers used this on their cow teats to keep them supple for milking. Now its a boutique item. Go figure
On another note, I find Howard Dean so poorly spoken. He sounds like an uneducated guy who is trying to sound educated. I know he is very well educated but he doesn't come off that way. At least, not to me.
In the end he will make James Carville a "normal chap". LOL!!!
I've always considerd him the SuperUgh-O.
Impressive! I feel a lot better now. Thanks.
This is a desperate, rediculous party that can't stop long enough to catch their breath....It's an insane tactic, even if by design.
What's to gain by this deception? Is Dean faking it in order to make others in his party seem reasonable by comparison? To what end, if their fates are bound?...You're giving them too much credit, I think.
Bag balm is good stuff!
