She's making liberal heads explode!

And she is making the New York Times suck lemons. You are only suppose to have an opinion if you are a liberal kook judge. Then the NYT's think you are an intellectually brilliant jurist.

"She's making liberal heads explode!"

What a sight to behold! Although, when I think of ol' Fat Ted blowing up, I get an image of Bruce the Shark exploding at the end of Jaws!!

Maybe she can replace Ginsburg in a few years (the fewer, the better).

Upchuck Schumer must be tearing his hair out.

They know they got snookered on the Gang of 14 deal.

Thanks for the link. After reading this piece, I see why the liberal democrats (in reality, socialists) are scared as hell of this woman. Janice Rogers Brown FOR THE SUPREME COURT!!!

"We no longer find slavery abhorrent," she told the conservative Federalist Society a few years ago. "We embrace it." She explained in another speech, "If we can invoke no ultimate limits on the power of government, a democracy is inevitably transformed into a kleptocracy - a license to steal, a warrant for oppression"

No wonder the dims are calling Janice Rogers Brown a wacko!!! I like Judge Brown even more after reading her comments.

And next up is Pryor.

I don't know. I get the feeling that we are gearing up for Estrada's SCOTUS nomination when Rheinquist retires.

Keyes also equates liberalism with slavery. It's remarkable to see how so many black conservative voices see that correlation.

Too bad she can't join us in the White Christian Party.

LOL.

She sounds terrific. A small government, property-rights protecting classical libertarian -- that's hardly an extremist position in the history of American political philosophy. If anything, it reflects the classical liberal values of the founders and the 19th century liberals.

Despite the obvious spin, isn't it refreshing to read comments like hers in the N.Y. Times? I'll bet those are brand new ideas to most Times readers. Damn, freedom of thought and new ideas are dangerous -- to the Establishment.

Now, that would be justice!

It's interesting how the NYT slants it. They were almost objective.

Bottom line: This remarkable lady needs to be on the USSC.

"She explained in another speech, "If we can invoke no ultimate limits on the power of government, a democracy is inevitably transformed into a kleptocracy - a license to steal, a warrant for oppression."

To her critics, such remarks are evidence of extremism.

It's interesting that a moderate call for limits on governmental power is considered a sign of "extremism." And she's not off base when she says we are cultivating a love for slavery - remember during the Elian Gonzales controversy, how liberals said he'd be better off in Cuba than here?

Yeah, I already knew about Sowell's not wanting to be Pres., but I can at least dream!

If anything, it reflects the classical liberal values of the founders and the 19th century liberals.

That it does

She's a necessary correction for the excesses of modern-day liberals (political correctniks). But we should remember that the nineteenth century was no paradise either (legal slavery followed by legal segregation, for starters) and the 21st century is very different from the 19th (no frontier, no cheap land, atomic bombs, the Internet) and requires different political and social structures.

That shouldn't take long.

"...we are gearing up for Estrada's SCOTUS nomination when Rheinquist retires."

I would love it if Bush nominated Estrada! Wouldn't that be an "in your face" to the RATs!! Unfortunately, the way things are going with the RATs and their willing accomplices the RINOs (my two Ohio RINOsenators included) I fear another "Borking". I just wish Frist would either grow a pair or invest in an iron-clad cup!
