sounds like military boot camp to me........if these people were real military and not terrorists, this treatment would not surprise them in the least............

I think you need to read the whole thing. Good comeback for all the "torture" claims.

It would definitely be torture to have a 400 lb. woman sit in your lap. I'm sure that there are lots of them in the Army.

You Hollywood Marines didnt have to put up with Elliott's Beach and the dreaded sand fleas. Semper Fi.

As I began reading this, my BS detector started to beep. It didn't sound so bad, since I'd endured mostly the same stuff in basic training at Lackland AFB.

I'll admit it would be extreme torture to do it again after 44 years, but it wasn't a huge problem back then.

Huh, that whole description pretty much reminded me of my basic military training (boot camp) experience...yawn.

I still recall the horror of crawling on my hands and knees through a gaunlet dressed only in my skivies. And being verbally abused by military officials calling me a "pollywog".

Oh the horrors...

I've often said that it's a good thing they didn't have digital cameras in Great Lakes Naval Training Center in 1963. Wasn't as tough as PI, but Abu Ghraib pales in comparrison.

I thought this was about torture? Sounds like pretty acceptable treatment of criminals to me!! No beheadings!! No random explosions!! I see no problem here

We were driven onto the island in a bus late at night. They drove us all around the island before we could get off. I later learned that the reason for this tactic was to disorient us and to make escaping more difficult.

Immediately after the bus came to a stop military personnel boarded the bus and the verbal assaults which seemed to never end, commenced. We were kept awake for the rest of that night and through the next day. While we waited on line for shots and other medical procedures the verbal abuse continued. Some of us were so exhausted we fell asleep standing up.

They took the clothes off our backs and made us all wear the same clothing. Handing out the clothing was a military woman who screamed and cursed at us worse than any of the men. This was most humiliating.

Next they shaved our heads. Then they made us fill out forms in freezing cold room while they mocked us. To eat we got a sandwich which was half frozen. There were other food items included with the sandwich but the men in uniforms confiscated them.

Oh...the humanity! It's almost as bad as beheading.

Knowing that these ware the men who have vowed to destroy us and have killed innocents, it was torture for me to read this whine. Where can I go to complain about my right not to be inflicted w/such accounts?

Everybody gets a chance to be a firefighter, in the Navy!

The tears burn as they run down your cheeks, from the teargas exposure, as you march around inside the room, then take off your masks... and when you get back into the fresh air, it still burns!

Oh, how I loved Illinois in the summer... NOT! (or at least endured it, but I always went to waukegan, or kenosha, on the weekends... lots of cute girls, that enjoyed being with a man in uniform!)
