What do you think? Should Phelps be included? What is your opinion?

most Catholics don't study scripture anyways.

There's a wondrous and beautiful difference between digesting the Word and memorizing it! ;o)

I would accept neither, but I can forgive an error in judgment.

Are you going to vote for her?

If it comes down to her or Hillary, I'd vote for her in a heartbeat. *g

...of course if this was Bill Clinton

If this happened during the Clinton Presidency, how do you think most here would have reacted? No big deal, or the end of civilization as we know it?

actually if this happened during the Bill Clinton years, NO WAY would this have hit the MSM. In addition Bill Clinton would never let himself be seen in a position where he would be so obviously at issue.

We would ENDLESSLY joke about Bill Clinton (and perhaps Hitlary) being serviced by the porn star.

In this case we have the tempest in the teapot over JUST BEING IN THE SAME ROOM. There are no "servicing" jokes available with GWBush. (Then again Dick Chenny did get the job based on his good looks)

You obviously don't know the first thing about PR.

That's a bit disingenuous, isn't it?

They couldn't care less about Bush one way or the other. This is about getting free PR and visibility for your movies and your career.

Well stated point. But don't underestimate the desire of pornographers to make this "Christian President" look like a hypocrite!

Actually they may be more PR savy than that. If they go in and scream hypocrit they will never be able to return. Now, IF they are smart, they will go in and say openly the president disagrees with them on their choice of job BUT THEY support the president on lowering taxes and defending the nation.

The hypocrit card gains them nothing. The support card gains them something. It is not like they are risking their job credibility with a hollyweird backlash.

Since you weren't around here while Clinton was president, you have no idea of the hatred and vitriol that was posted on a daily basis against Clinton (and for good reason I might add.)

Clinton would have been crucified by the posters here for someting like this, but as long as it's on Bush's watch, ho-hum...no big deal.

It's the hypocricy that's annoying.

That's probably true.

It seems it would have been just another bimbo eruption. I figure his rape charges are more serious than a willing porn performer.

Either way, the bottom line is the character of the person who is president.

Based on the demonstrated character of the person:

What would clinton do at a fundraiser with a porno star?
What woudl GWBush do at a fundraiser with a porno star?

This incident doesn't reflect well on the character of the President.

Luke 5:32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
.
Romans 2:4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?
.
Hebrews 6:6 if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.
.
Repentance
There are three Greek words used in the New Testament to denote repentance. (1.) The verb _metamelomai_ is used of a change of mind, such as to produce regret or even remorse on account of sin, but not necessarily a change of heart. This word is used with reference to the repentance of Judas (Matt. 27:3). (2.) Metanoeo, meaning to change one's mind and purpose, as the result of after knowledge. This verb, with (3) the cognate noun _metanoia_, is used of true repentance, a change of mind and purpose and life, to which remission of sin is promised. Evangelical repentance consists of (1) a true sense of one's own guilt and sinfulness; (2) an apprehension of God's mercy in Christ; (3) an actual hatred of sin (Ps. 119:128; Job 42:5, 6; 2 Cor. 7:10) and turning from it to God; and (4) a persistent endeavour after a holy life in a walking with God in the way of his commandments. The true penitent is conscious of guilt (Ps. 51:4, 9), of pollution (51:5, 7, 10), and of helplessness (51:11; 109:21, 22). Thus he apprehends himself to be just what God has always seen him to be and declares him to be. But repentance comprehends not only such a sense of sin, but also an apprehension of mercy, without which there can be no true repentance (Ps. 51:1; 130:4).

You are right about what you say but then the important thing is Christ is the only one who really knows her mind and heart. He is the ultimate judge. I don't really know this woman. Is she still in porn? Did she stop and turn her life around? Her reputation might be baggage from her past.

Lol...So would I.
In fact, if she does run for Lt. Gov. she has my vote. I believe she would be a stronger supporter of the Constitution than any of the other RP candidates!

You may not like it but porn performers have been known to pay taxes, and even (gasp!) be registered voters who actually vote.

I would rather have them voting for a GWBush because he stands FOR something, rather than the PC absudity platform of the DNC.

I don't believe ANYONE is under the delusion that the Republican party is going to be pro-porno or even consider such a stand.

The president, as part of the job, over time is in the same room as thousands of peole. Not everyone is going to be a paragon of virtue.

this is only an excuse issue for those who were going to object to something anyways.

If you knowingly, habitually commit sin...you have no business calling yourself a Christian.

Sorry, that's not the standard.

And a person can call themselves anything they want, it won't be true or untrue because of it. Christ won't be fooled, and it's no one else's business.
