Most sin, is pleasurable for a season.

To entice and keep people addicted to it. At some point they have to choose.

Perfect. Think I'll use it as a tag line for a while! :)

all the patriarchs and kings of israel had multiple lovers, wives and spouses, with but few, very few exceptions.

that still small voice that spoke to elijah the prophet, pretty much authored their immorality to form the nation of israel, the twelve tribes and the line of christ.

There was rampant immorality in the lives of about six or seven of the women of the old testament that are considered amongst the faithful to God... along with the CADS that praticed serial polygamy and regularly engaged in extramarital relations with prostitutes and slaves...

Damning an actress for doing sex videos, is beyond the scope of my ability. I am glad she prays or reads her bible. God apparently meets people where THEY are, not where WE demand they SHOULD be, in order to merit his grace or attentiveness to their prayers.

Damning the whores is a real sport around here these days:
britney, jessica, madonna, W (for eating dinner with one), and whoever else we find to 'filthy' for christian America.

Only problem is, AMERICA is NOT legally a Christian nation.
And Bush is the president of a secular state, not the pope in Rome... an admitted RELIGIOUS State.

I don't want a religious nation, because this is what we will spend all our time doing... only over other stupid stuff: did you take the right communion or are you a traitor, type of stuff.

Marey got a ticket and deserves her place at the table.
period.

May not be one legally or morally, but that doesn't mean it should accept or expand its sinfulness. I'll take a Godly nation over a morally bankrupt one, any day!

Ping to one of those things that make some of us say, "Hmmm."

I'm beginning to wonder if we Baby Boomers are maybe beginning some sort of long going away party.

What is "sexual immorality"? Is looking at scantily clad women "sexual immorality"?

Is there a point to your repeatedly asking assinine questions, or are you just trying to taunt us? This is beyond ridiculous.

Christians sin. Enough to humble our pride on a regular basis, if we are honest. I think one should perhaps consider getting the log out of their own eyes before we try to pick out the flaws in marey carey's makeup...

The inference you are attempting to create here is a lie. Slipping up and committing a sin is not the same thing as systematically doing it and claiming there is nothing wrong with it. This is her career. "It's okay if she sins because we all do it" is a lie. It is not okay to sin - that's what makes it sin. There's nothing nit-picky or legalistic about claiming that a porn star is not even making an attempt at a Christian lifestyle. She's not struggling with sin, she's not suffering from a need to feel wanted and has slipped into a period of her life where she's having multiple partners to fill some void she feels that she has while in a confused state of mind - she has made a CAREER out of this behavior.

The topic of discussion is her claim to be a committed Christian as a porn star, not if this is a "a legally Christian nation."

I agree with you that she paid her way into the event (or someone who purchased her ticket) and she's entitled to be there as such.

"There are several instances in the Bible (I can't directly quote offhand, I'm Catholic)

Not surprising really, since most Catholics don't study scripture anyways.

Indeed so. John 8:7 comes to mind.

I do not think H.L.Mencken is very happy where he is right now.
