'..the flag burning and threatening speech is adequate proof of more dangerous intent..'
Interesting. On another FR thread about Iowa Sen. King seeking to pass amendment against flag burning...many freepers who posted on thread believed this was not a good thing and flag burning was part of freedom of speech. one even suggested, if this passed, he/she would burn a flag. hmmm, if this is how freepers feel, what can be expected from others?
I don't mean to suggest that flag burning, by itself, is cause for internment. However, within the context of the current situation, the people involved, and the threatening speech, the totality of evidence may be sufficient to prove intent of more dangerous actions that merit internment.
Suppose a group of the German SS did the same thing in 1942. What do you think the reaction of the American people would have been. I suspect that none of those creatures would have left that corner alive.
I did not post on that thread but you can surely count me in that group.
The words used by these 'boys' in the video, on the other hand, well, if they are inciting a riot, the folks standing around should have given them their riot. (if you know what I mean)
The muslims in question aren't burning to protest the lack of an ideal. They're burning to show complete disdain for America.
It's the context of the situation.
