Cool. I always think a society run by fear can get the results I want, as long as I make sure to keep the rabble down so they don't gain power.
And the best way to change a misguided youth's hatred for American is for an American to beat the crap out of him.
(Me, I'm the type of guy who prefers using force to free people who cannot make themselves free --- Iraqis! --- and to protect our nation from physical threats --- former gov't of Iraq! --- and not to quiet those I just happen to disagree with.)
(Because, what's next, do we bomb France for not agreeing with our Iraq position --- okay, bad example --- do we bomb the Swiss for not getting involved?)
Every black eye you give a hippy also gives a black eye to conservatism. Every hippy you reason with --- granted, there are few, and you have to hunt the stragglers from the pack --- can boost the ranks of conservatism, people who'll support our cause because they see it's right, not people who don't oppose our cause because we'll stomp them.
That being said, I'm all for laughing at the flag-burners, pointing at them, and arguing with them until they cry --- hey, they want to burn a flag as freedom of speech, I DO have the right to respond back with, you know, speech, or symbols like some of those wonderful Protest Warrior signs.
Whatever Babble-mouth. Never underestimate the threat of force.
