Unless someone with a comparable amount of money steps up in the primary Mitch will win and serve until Jan. 2013. An open race in 2008 just leaves the door open for Bart Peterson to step up, no Republican wants that.

If Mitch wins the primary he will lose in the general.Kernan would not have tried to pull the "stuff" that Mitch is trying.Affirmative action for Transgender homosexuals and Tax raising is not a good combo.
