You won't get this, but for other readers: This guy doesn't get someone to agree with him immediately, therefore he needs to curse and insult people. Yet he wonders why this strategy doesn't get him results on airplanes. He'd want to end the restaurant industry, too, except he can't see the servers spit in his food after he's an ass to them.

YOU are not the anything more than a service employee that should serve your customer, not treat them like crap.

I won't take the capital YOUs personally since, as I've said, I don't work for an airline. But I will point out that the service being provided is taking you to a distant point via the wholly unnatural method of going five miles high and six hundred miles an hour in a pressurized tube, and doing it repeatedly and safely. A distant second is getting you your drink, which is also done to the best of the ability of the crew you enjoy abusing.

Anyway, you won't be convinced because I know that virtually nothing short of a near-death experience can stop a jerk from continuing to be a jerk. But for the other readers of this thread: if it was your job to run a service that this guy used, imagine how you'd feel after 12 hours of dealing with his type.

You just don't get it. The airlines are going bankrupt because of the employee union demands. The snotty service doesn't make the public feel any sympathy. Plus, the public now resents that tax dollars are needed to bail out ludicrous pension plans that the thugs extorted. Your smugness never ends and certainly isn't appealing to most hard working people that are forced to fly on the lousy US airlines. No one is demanding anything other than courtesy, which you obviously feel you are too superior to give to a paying customer.
