Does anybody remember Dan Rather's interview with the Israeli airline official soon after the crash? This official said they had received intelligence that a specific El Al flight was targeted, so they cancelled the flight. Then TWA 800 took off in its place. This segment was live, but was never mentioned again. Tell me I'm not crazy. Anybody else rembember this?
I don't know but am hoping someone else can confirm. Sounds plausible, the Israelis have very good intel & the terrorists would shoot the plane they thought to be El Al.

Yes, you are correct. I remember the El AL flight was cancelled and TWA took its place in line.
