Below is a reply I sent to an e-mail I received from Doug Forrester's campaign asking for money and support:

Please note that I voted for Bret Schundler on Tuesday and will be voting for John Corzine in November. The regular republican party in New Jersey must be taught a strong lesson, change your ways or lose my vote. I will not vote for you just because you have an "R" next to your name. I would rather have a democrat in office who the republicans will fight than a Republican in name only who is not in any way, shape or form conservative and will not be opposed by the republcan party. The only difference between you and Corzine is a "D" next to his name as opposed to your "R". I will no longer support wolves in sheep's clothing. I am 28 years old and know many people, young and old, who feel as I do.

Amen, NJF. Wake 'em up. Once the Pubbies take the conservative vote for granted, we have no leverage. Zip. The establishment "moderates" of the NJ Republican Party burned us with Bret in 2001, so why should I support their clown in 2005? So we get a shot at a better Senate candidate in 2006? That's too attenuated a gain, in my view.

Conservatives must learn from the NRA: Support your friends, but absolutely punish your adversaries. This conservative refuses to support Forrester.
