WOW, just listening to shortwave the other night, Radio Netherlands I think, and we were listening to an EU news broadcast about their constitution controversy, started tuning around and we heard part of his broadcast.

Because of his horizontal condition Dr Gene has de-
cided to cut back on his short wave radio broadcasts.
Although he has gone underground, he is still accept-
ing....no, make that DEMANDING contributions.
I used to watch his fascinating TV program, from time
to time, and was surprized when I learned that he
was born in Oroville, California which is pretty
darned close to my hometown. The guy was a hoot
but I have always been drawn to cranky people with
a sense of humor.

My father-in-law and I found this guy to be a source of comic relief and a topic of conversation when we get together. Saw a few of his shows and marvel to this day how he could be taken seriously by so many people. I tell ya, the general population leaves little room for hope.
