From the Report, page 129 (thanks for the link above ) ---
"Review of the data obtained from the emulation flight test revealed that the CWT vapor samples had fuel/air mass ratios247 of 0.034, 0.046, and 0.054 on the ground during taxi and as the airplane climbed through about 10,000 and 14,000 feet msl (see table 7). According to scientific literature248 and tests conducted by experts at the California Institute of Technology (CIT), the lower flammability limit (LFL) of Jet A fuel is at fuel/air mass ratio of 0.032 to 0.038.249. Have you read any of the other threads on TWA 800? I doubt it, and you're probably not going to read them because you're rigedly locked into your opinion about TWA 800. There's all kinds of evidence that TWA 800 was struck by a missile, but you just choose to ignore that evidence and make bald assertions that "there is NO evidence TWA 800 was struck by a missile." You can make all the assertions you want and ignore all the evidence you want to ignore, but that doesn't change the facts. Like I said, you need to start by reading some of the threads on TWA 800 here at FR. Most of those threads are not written by crackpots. They're written by smart, well-informed people. Right now you apparently know very little about what actually happened to TWA 800 and yet you're rigidly locked into your position. Go read the other side of the story and then see if you can move an inch off of your position.
Have you read any of those threads? If you have, you'll see that not only have I read them, but I actually participated in most of them. My attention was first drawn to TWA 800 back in the days when Micheal Rivero haunted this site. I've seen conspiracy theorists come and go on FreeRepublic. Rivero, BeAChooser, Formerlurker.... Conspiracy theories about TWA 800 started almost before the last pieces of it hit the water, and many of them have been discussed right here on FreeRepublic. Click on the links on my Freepage and you will find some of the older threads. Believe me, you aren't telling me anything I haven't heard before. There is no real evidence TWA 800 was struck by a missile. There are lots of theories, but no evidence. Unless you know something that know one else knows......
But who controls the evidence --- FBI ?
Recall that at Waco, the FBI adamantly denied, even to Congress, that the FBI had fired pyrotechnic flares.
Hark, the Texas Rangers found one expended flare case. The FBI then reluntantly admitted they had fired ONE flare at the bunker ---and of course did not contribute to the fire.
Was FBI agent Kalstram at Waco and Flight 800 ?
I don't really know much about Waco. But I do agree that the FBI involvment in the initial stages of the TWA 800 investigation generated many of the controversies that remain today. Remember, they were the leading advocates of a bomb or missile causing the destruction of TWA 800. They weren't trying to hide criminal involvement. They were trying to prove it happened. In the process, they created as much confusion as they did clarify anything. However, not even the FBI could find evidence of a bomb or a missile exploding in or near TWA 800. And they certainly couldn't have hidden such evidence even if that had been their intent.
Agree completely.
befuddled by your comment... .%`
I was making fun of the fact that your initial comment sounded like something one of Hillary's speechwriters would have her saying. Or Moveon.org. Michael MOOer etc.
I also was getting that impression.
Also, recall years ago when the same thing happened with denying there was a fed electronic surveillence system (have forgotten the name ), but it later became public that the system did exist.
It was fired off-shore from a private boat.
How about the Egypt-Air plane that crashed. If I remember right, the story was a forlorn and suicidal co-pilot. It seems to me that it was the first usage of the 9-11 plan, without targets.
Yes, that pilot took one for Mohammed...and killed a lot of other people in the deal.
