I'm with ya, buddy! Love the winner painting, that Benson looks like it dates from the 1890's maybe if I go by the fashions, one of my favorite part of history is the Victorian/Edwardian era. I also enjoy the art from the time, Renoir is a favorite of mine.
Here is a couple:
A dress for the Winter Dance, January 15th, 1911 issue of the Ladies' Home Journal by illustrator M. E. (sometimes Emma) Musselman, one of my favorite artists and illustrators.
From the March 1910 issue of "The Delineator," illustration by Karl Kleinschmidt, another artist I like.
I might differ from some here, but I like the clothing back then or even the 1950's, it had a more dignified look. I'm not a prude by any means but dressing do far down to where the belly is showing, well, I'm not a fan of that, I'll just leave it that way.
I also love the magazines of that time, you can find good stories in there, many by writers like Rudyard Kipling and L. Frank Baum (who wrote "Wizard of Oz"), I'm also a fan of literature from that period. I also like the art of Howard Chandler Christy, Charles Dana Gibson and other artists of that era.
