I think you're being a little hard on this poster. He admitted he's not usually afraid to be wrong. It seems to me like he was
hoping that's all it was. Some people are natural optimists. I don't think you should get so offended by the post. I've seen a lot worse.
As I have posted, she did an incredibly stupid thing by going off with strangers to begin with. I suppose that makes me a misogynist, too.

It seems to me like he was hoping that's all it was. Actually, when it comes to human nature, especially in teens, I've become quite the cynic. I think that makes me worse than you imply, but not as nasty as the poster you were responding to wants to believe.
I was only a decent student and average achiever and the urge to just chuck it and run off rose up occasionally.
