Thanks you for the response. What incites me is that 1. This is an American girl. 2.We will not see the justice as it should be applied. 3. The three perps in the beginning of the whole charade are blowing smoke for their nostrils in what they did.4.These little caribbean islands politicos are bought and paid for by the high roller elitist crimials. 5.Aruba is like a one-eyed jack to most people. They only see through a tunnel vision of the nice side amenities and not the actual down to earth reality. Yes, there were some foreign tourists murdered down in Florida some years backs. I hope the perps responsible did or will receive the "sleeping murderer" injection. Many metro-areas are crime ridden here in the USA due to liberalism, poor choices in weak Police Chiefs, Civic leaders and sub-standard recruiting of law enforcement officers.8 years of a do nothing commie-draft-dodging x42 with far left morals and doctrine did not help matters in America. The bottom line here, is that if it were your daughter,I would feel the same way about bringing all these perps to justice(dirt nap) or we make Aruba pay by the economic pocket book in their tourism industry. Believe me when you turn the screws and they all feel the pain, results start to happen. Remember how President Reagan handled Libya? "Power perceived is Power achieved". I hope you took the olive branch from my extended internet hand. P.S. I like your handle, President Reagan was our greatest President. NSNR

I will wait and see what the Aruban authorities do before I judge them on their actions. I do not have a good enough understanding of their laws to know if steps taken to this point are sufficient and appropriate or not.

We have been to several islands in the Caribbean in our travels. We stay in upscale all-inclusive resorts (which is what the place in Aruba sounds like it was) where the staff is extremely accomodating and friendly and we have never felt threatened. Having said that, there are places where I would not dream of venturing off the grounds of the resort unless it was in a large group, such as a tour. And I will be even more cautious in the future. Luckily for me, as a middle-aged woman, I would likely not be an attractive target for someone looking to have a 'good time'.

I find the lack of details regarding the supervision these 18 year-olds were under troubling.
