What makes you think the 7 on this trip were doing this? They were on the trip.They had no authority to tell these students anything.Notice none stayed behind and assumed any responsibility after she turned up missing.

Assumptions like you have made are the the same ones made by many parents who allow their kids to make trips like this.

I also notice that we haven't heard boo from the "chaperones". Guess they are laying low.

The original article said there were 7 adult CHAPERONES that went with the 124 students. If they weren't chaperones then the word chaperone wouldn't have been used.
