NEW YORK -- A body part apparently fell from the wheel well of a plane coming in for a landing on Tuesday at John F. Kennedy Airport and landed in a suburban backyard, authorities said.
More remains were found on a South African Airways flight after it landed at Kennedy, said Tony Ciavolella, a spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
Police suspect the remains were that of a male stowaway, the spokesman said. He would not confirm that the incidents at the airport and Long Island were related, saying, "It's still under investigation."
Messages left with South African Airways were not immediately returned.
Police in Nassau County received a call at 10:51 a.m. about a body part found in the backyard of a house. It apparently had hit the roof of a garage and bounced to the ground, said Officer Thomas Blanchard.
The South African Airways flight had originated in Johannesburg, but made one stop in Dakar, Senegal.

Is it really news when a New Yorker finds body parts in their back yard?

Well, doesn't this prove we should stow spacesuits in wheel wells as a form of humanitarian aid? Not to assist someone breaking US immigration law, mind you, but to save that most precious of commodities: human life. I'm holier than you republican meanies . . . Neener, neener, neener . . . </stupid democrat bullshi*>

"Police suspect the remains were that of a male stowaway"
"He should have kept his gear retracted."

Some good ol' WWII humor:
So a man is flying a combat mission over Europe. He gets shot down and has to bail out. He breaks both his legs, is captured by Germans, then taken to a POW camp. The first week they have to amputate his right leg. He asks one of them "After you're done, can you have one of your pilots fly my leg over my base in England and drop it there?", so they do it. The next week they have to cut off his other leg. And he asks them again "Could you please have someone drop this off over my base in England?", and they do it! The third week, the have to cut off his arm, so he asks them again. This time, the german says "Nein! Dis ve can't do anymore!" And he asks "Why not?". And the german says "Ve think yoo are trying to escape!"

South African A part hide.

Hmmm, I bet it cuts down on the paper work.
Not to mention not tying up the plane by some hot shot from the FAA, ACLU, NTSB, Amnesty Int'l, or a crime scene unit.

EEEWWW! I hate it when that happens.

"It BOUNCED off the roof of the garage..." Yep, had it been a female part, it would have crashed through the roof into the bath room...

A "body part" falling from an airplane is a pretty good indication: Man dies (from wheel collision/crushing soon after takeoff, or from exposure and lack of oxygen (unconscious) after many hours at Mt Everest-Plus elevations. Pilot comes in for a landing, opens wheel doors, parts and pieces of the body falls out. This part happened to be only one found - so far.)
Come on. Do you think somebody only put "parts of a body" in the wheel well of a transatlantic airplane on the ground in the SA airport?
