Some times you've got to wonder.
What the hell is Jeb Bush doing. Either Crist or Gallagher could easily beat Nelson (polls show them both winning), but they are instead going to have a nasty primary with each other.
What the hell? Why doesn't Jeb sit them down and get one of them to drop off.
Sometimes Jeb is great, but sometimes (2000) he's just gawd awful........
Jeb isn't a diplomat within the party he chairs. I'm for Tom Gallagher for Governor. Crist is a dim bulb. Jeb doesn't know how to use what he has imo.
My take on JEB right now is that he's winding down his politcal life. That in and of itself is bad, but I just do not see him as large and in-charge as he once was.
He still has all the political clout and support, but he's not using it.

Yeah, but Crist is a flaming idiot and I have a personal grudge against Gallagher. Bad enough they're the two leading GOP candidates for Governor.... Mind you, Rod Smith is conservative enough that when he ran for state senate, the local left-wing alternative paper endorsed the Republican.
I blame Connie Mack more than Jeb for there being a Senator Nelson (and what an embarrassment he is)....Mack would have easily beaten Nelson. If his health had deteriorated he could have resigned and let Jeb appoint his replacement. Guess what would have happened...no Jumpin' Jim Jeffords (the RATs would have had nothing to offer), no lame "power sharing" between The Cheerleader and Dashole, etc, etc. W's agenda would be a lot farther along than it is right now, and Florida would have had two Republican senators.
Be that as it may, neither of them have the name recognition, or voter identification Harris has. Simply stated, she's a celebrity and they aren't.
