Normally I wouldn't hype watching the 9th Circuit, but this panel includes one of favorite judges, Kozinski. It's a freedom of speech case, about a kid who wore a T-Shirt saying "Homosexuality is Shameful" to school, which is pretty unpopular speech in California.
An "oral argument" in Frisco? That might prove...err..unusual.
Interesting. I was aquainted with one of the judges a while ago. Wonder if she's on this panel, Judge Dorothy Nelson.
And I just noticed another judge on a panel is Reinhardt, a very liberal guy. But here I think both Kozinski and Reinhardt will tend to decide this kind of case in favor of free speech (while differing on, e.g., the 2nd Amendment or the Takings Clause.)
No...Reinhardt will not rule for free speech here....he is a bigger fan of homosexuals than free speech.

That's real funny, I think. Incidentally, 9th Circuit judges fly around to all the western states within the circuit to hear cases, and they also hear cases in Alaska.
He's not doing so good. I wouldn't be too judgmental; maybe he wrote a good brief but then got nervous on the big day.
Perhaps they could get lost in the tundra or park their car on muskeg.
The problem is that from what I can research, he's a lawyer with a very obscure Christian pro-family group.
That's the problem...the ACLU and other leftist groups all tend to have top notch lawyers, whereas little groups like these tend not to.

I don't recall ever seeing a Federal Court hearing, at least on the appellate level, on television until now. Interesting.

You're right, the guy is bad. Maybe your diagnosis is right, and his organization is poorly funded, so this is the best they could get.
