ADELANTO, Calif. - FBI, fire and sheriff's investigators determined there's no evidence the burning of a Mojave Desert mosque was a hate crime.
The mosque at the United Islamic Youth Organization Cemetery, two miles north of Southern California Logistics Airport, burned to the ground during a pre-dawn blaze June 3 and there were initial suspicions it was deliberately torched and may have been a hate crime.
"There is no evidence it was a hate crime. They don't even have anything pointing toward arson," Robin Haynal, spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, said Monday.
Other parts of the cemetery likely would have been desecrated if the fire had been hate motivated, fire and sheriff's officials said.
But some Muslims were skeptical.
"There was no reason for a mosque to be gutted down like that unless there was someone who did it deliberately," said Aslam Abdullah, director of the Muslim Electorates' Council of America, a group that encourages Muslims to vote.
The FBI, which responds to all religious structure fires, is still investigating the mosque blaze, spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said.
The 35-acre cemetery, which has about 500 graves, is the only burial site in Southern California dedicated entirely to Muslims, said Dany Doueiri, an Arabic studies professor at California State University, San Bernardino.
A truck driver reported the blaze about 4:24 a.m. Friday and firefighters arrived in 20 minutes to find the mosque in flames.
OK, he said it about black churches. But either way it was a lie as they didn't happen.
Unfortunately, the police are telling the Muslims how to better fake a hate crime next time.

Not really. The more arson "evidence" they plant, the more evidence there is wherewith to track down the actual culprits.
Won't make any difference in their findings. The muslims will use this a propaganda . They will say the government is covering up crimes agaist muslims.
