But, see....what you got was really, really nice! You did a great job with those backgrounds, Amy, and the best part is that you went and got them and then JUST DID IT!! You changed every single background, so that it's *yours*! That's the fun part!

I did finally get around to redoing the prayer post but you'll have to wait a couple of weeks to see it when I post John's essay again.

Well, it doesn't surprise me you've reworked yours - but I am anxious to see it! Know it will be beautiful. You're very good with color and design - your stuff looks classy. :)

billie, that WAS the way I envisioned my post....I didn't delibertately mess it up...just didn't have time to "fix it" LOL! Thanks for doing that. I'll have to go back and "find my mistakes" (and this is so much fun sistah!) Back later!

The hard thing about it is that you really *can't* find your mistake by looking at the source code of the posted comment, because I KNOW you didn't remove tables where they were taken off, and I don't think the navy solid background was anywhere to be found in the code I looked at. :( I don't think you can tell what caused it, unless you saved a copy of the original you posted and didn't do it all in the comment blank.

I used the pictures as the backgrounds.

Well, alrighty then! Just wanted you to know if you did need help, you know you have it. Lori is here much later than I am lots of nights, and I *know* she'd help, too.

But....after those two biggies you did so close together last week (Wednesday AND Friday!!!!), if you did nothing but say "Welcome", it would certainly be understandable!

And let me 'announce' to the sistahs that you volunteered for July 4th!!!!

But they *are* pictures. When you put them in the table command as background="http://etc, they 'tile' themselves to fill up however much space you tell it to.

If you click on one of the backgrounds in this thread (go click on one of the bright blue bgs in my opening), then select "Save background as". Then when you look at it, you will only see something like 100 x 100 size image.

Does that make sense?

It makes sense--but it just doesn't work--yet! I will keep working on it! Don't think I'm gonna give up! I am enjoying using your backgrounds, though, so at least I have them till I "get" the other!

Dolly, that's wonderful about you doing the 4th of July Post. I've never done one before but can imagine that it would be an emotional and exciting post to create.

Okay, you're *not* using the < img src> command inside the table command, are you? If you replace ONLY all of the "http://stuff" right after where it says background=, it should show YOUR new background *picture* over the whole thing, or if it's 'around' the solid background, then you should see that background picture all the way around your main solid bg.

I have had so much experience hunting down MY mistakes (you know, the center command that didn't get turned off, and the annoying blockquote 'problems', etc.), I can find mistakes now practically with my eyes closed. LOL!
