Those efforts are succeeding brilliantly. In any case, your statement turns the Constitution upside down. The rest of the country should not be able to influence the affairs of one state in this way. Nor was Congress intended to have a general police power of this kind. See Madison, quoted above.

If you don't like the Constitution, why don't you work to amend it rather than pretending that it's a living document and requiring the rest of us to work to overturn the unconstitutional laws which should've never been enacted in the first place?
