I saw it primarily as my obligation as an American to continual to fuel the local economy. It sucked. It really was a very long and painfully drawn out melodrama. Had Lucas stopped with the first three episodes, things would have been great. But the introduction of this sappy 'love story' just kills this storyline. It was about good vs. evil. It was never a love story.

I'm having a hard time understanding how liberals think that they are really sticking it to the GOP with this film though. The Dim's are the ones who love every dictator they find around the globe. This entire plot was based on the old soviet empire. Are the lib's suddenly disavowing their loyalty to the old Marxist ideals? Do they now suddenly agree with the GOP that the Soviet regime needed to be overthrown? Sorry, either I'm very confused or they are. Either way, its Lucas' fault now.

Well said. I thought if anything it supported the Republican position..good over evil.
Its a shame the actors were not allowed to use facial expressions.
