IOW, there was vote fraud on the democratic side but...
too bad - so sad. Better luck next time suckers.
Is that pretty much it?

The decision will be appealed to the state supreme court. Unfortunately, Fraudoire's huge tax increases go into effect July 1 to cover the 3.8 billion deficit that occurred from 2 years ago. In 2003 the state had $21 billion in revenues and $22 billion in expenditures. The legislature passed a $23 billion budget without cutting spending. This budget doesn't include $.05 tax increase in gasoline because the transportation budget and the general budget are two different budgets. This year (2005) Fraudoire and her demoncRAT-controlled legislature gutted Initiative 601 which required at supermajority (60%) to pass any tax increases. After that, raising taxes such as another gasoline tax in the amount of $.09 and sin taxes (to name just a couple) to pay off the unions and environmentalists that put Fraudoire in office was a free-for-all.

Oh goody!

Do you think the "governor" will slow down on her tax raising agenda now that she may actually need to worry about getting reelected? Oh wait...I don't think she has to worry about that now either! /banging head on desk

Truth29, on another thread, makes this comment, which I think is an excellent rebuttal, so I'm posting it here:
_______________

Regarding your several posts that the law is unconstitutional and the construct of the law should not reward the wrongdoer: Would the state Superior Court rule any differently than the lower court? It seems like the perfect defense for an illegitimate government - utilize an illegitimate law to assure that they cannot be removed from office.

Much earlier in this process, I urged that the citizens of Washington state take to the streets in something like a Ukrainian Orange revoluion-a peaceful shutting down of the government and commerce until the corrupt government resigned. I still feel that was a opportunity lost for Washington. The present situation forces those who oppose Gregiore's election to fight through a legal and judicial system that is construction and administered to defend the dems.

I agree that the result appears absurd, and already some reliably lefty media outlets are praising the decision when, of course, had the GOP candidate won and the illicit ballots come from GOP-heavy areas, those very outlets would be decrying it.

But let's just wait until the state supreme court weighs in.

I hope his ruling will be appealed. Another example where judges can do anything. A few of their crazy rules are listed in Nancy Grace's book, OBJECTION!

Oh, goody! Does this mean my thread gets to become one of those "Post-your-favorite-Vampire-slayer-pictures" threads?!

WA is already the bastard stepchild of CA. After screwing and bankrupting CA, the environmentalists and unions moved northward through OR to WA.

Hopefully they'll keep moving North until they end up in Canada, where they'll feel right at home.

You should think about moving to Nevada. NO income tax and its a red state.

But I'm liking the way the Senate race could be shaping up with a proven disenfranchisement of more than half of the voters getting their next chance to 'fix' things being the political beheading of Maria Cant(think)well. Let Dino get this justice on her and the entire country can benefit, not just the state of Washington. (I'm afraid that if you live in Washington, you are already doomed).

WA (or at least Seattle) has been the seat of a lot of corruption since at least the days of the Klondike Gold Rush...it's a tradition.

As long as judges like this twerp let the demoncRATS get away with their illegal activities, there will be NO reform.

This all comes back to the premise, that "All Politics are Local", and you damned well ought to pay attention to whom you are electing to what office in your district. If you elect some smooth talking jerk to go write laws in Olympia, shame on you!

We have allowed our legislature to be filled with fools that cannot write an Election Law that will hold up in court. Basically the law seems to absolve all from any blame whatsoever, and certainly no consequence for obvious poor performance on the part of Elections Officials.

None of this happened over night, either. Look at this as a prime example of what creeping Liberalism gets you.

I know people don't want to hear it, but the Judge is telling Washington State to clean up it's act through channels, before the courts will intercede in any way; and he's exactly right. Not his steaming heap to clean up.

I believe you, but I won't hold my breath. It's because of that that I won't live in the state even though I have family there.

It aint just our state, Florida, and South Dakota. The Dems will be emboldened by this. They were caught red handed, and allowed to keep their spoils. The next election will be a fraud extravaganza.
