It's very hard to deal with. The case was before the court because Ashcroft, a Republican, intitiated the action that put it there. The liberal justices on the court sided with the liberal (republican?) administration.

Many of us feel that our party no longer supports and defends the constitution. Small government is out and liberal big government is in...Even in our own party!

Yep, I realize that. The guy I was replying to however thinks that the decision is conservative because the authoritarian Republicans support it (or something like that; I'm actually not quite sure what his point was).
