Take a look at Man on Fire.
I'd have given him an Oscar for that role. His character had conflicts, but not racial. He is shown with a white old friend, and his main (key) connection is to a blond little girl to whom he is bodyguard.
Awesome movie. The scary part is that the portrayal of Mexico is spot on.
It's hard to understand how a country like Mexico with all of its natural resources and hard working proud people are so full of corrupt politicians (are there any other types?) and law enforcement. No wonder they want to come here.
