Words have meaning. "Commerce" has meaning. So does "interstate".
Someone growing weed under strict state guidelines, where the weed does not cross state lines and is not sold, is neither commerce nor interstate. So Congress and SCOTUS have basically said that words mean whatever they want them to.

Even Rush Limbaugh was trashing the decision.
