I love to hear the dems and their fellow travelers complaining that we are not doing anything about Zim and Darfur. What would they have us to do? Invade?
Why is it that the libs and commies all want us to invade all these countries but are against our invasion of Iraq?

This is beyond disgusting. But the only thing that I wonder about is: How did these people not see this coming years ago? I am on Clive's Zim Ping List, live in Eastern Washington state, work as a waiter and attend school full time, and know more about what is going on in Zimbabwe than these people do! Why didnt they get out?

Dont get me wrong, it is an atrocity what is happening there and my sympathy goes out to these people who have been so wronged. But how they couldnt see it coming years ago is a totally alien proposition to me...JFK

Why must there be salvation for them? Why should Americans care about a tribal population which, like most of the rest of the world, is hardly our friend? Spend our money and people for what? It is just tribes being tribes.

IF we had a shred of intelligence inside the Beltway, and could learn from the experiences of Rome, we could intervene but make it pay.

Rome did bring order to it's Empire. But all who benefited paid Roman taxes and traded with Rome on terms favorable to Rome.

IF we do the same, then I would have no objections to helping those still stuck in the tribal level of societal evolution.

But we should not - indeed MUST NOT destroy ourselves in the process. I don't want to sound unsympathetic to the plight of those helpless people, but I am concerned about America being nibbled to death by a flock of quacking socialists, their "programs", and their continual demands for 'police actions', all of which bleed America both literally and financially.
