The man had vision didn't he?

An extraordinary one.

He just wasn't afraid to say what he thought. He wasn't afraid of what the papers were going to say about him. He wasn't afraid of the Democrat controlled Senate. He wasn't afraid of what the world was going to think when he shouted "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" And in spite of all the negative attention he received in the media, he won in a landslide against the Democrats for his second term, and set the stage for George H.W. Bush to win the Presidency.

He was a man who truly believed what he said, and said what he believed, a quality most politicians lack today. Though I admire President Bush and believe he is a good man, I do believe he needs to be even more vocal against terrorism, against socialism, and against the enemies of the United states, foreign AND especially domestic. He needs to look to Ronald Reagan for inspiration, as do all Republicans.

How long did Communist Russia exist before Reagan's stand? How many American Presidents formulated a plan to end Communist tyranny, formed alliances with our friends around the world, and boldly and brashly stood tall against the Soviets, giving them absolutely nothing? None. None had this vision, nor the will. Until Reagan, the best they hoped to do was contain the Soviets, and it didn't work.

With so many forces rallying to defeat liberty and the American dream today, forces like Islamic terror, Communist organizations in America, and those fighting to abolish our rights in the guise of tolerance and equality, we cannot win our fight without such leaders.

We need another leader like Ronald Reagan. In fact, it appears we need several of them in the Senate.

Sorry for the rant.

That's why he wasn't afraid.

Yes, we do, however don't you think that Dubya' is doing a fine job as a stand in?

He may not have the flare of RWR, however IMHO he sure has the conviction and that conviction IS what is winning the WOT and flushing the DNC into the pit's of oblivion where they belong.

Sorry for the rant. ; )
